80%!!!! Only 80?!
As you guys know, I’ve done a theory exam recently on Level 9 Harmony. I ONLY GOT A MARK OF 80!!!!! I thought it was a super terrible mark, but…….
I actually got the highest mark out of the people doing the Level 9 Harmony exam!!!!!!! I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!! OMG! That said, I was the most positive people about my marks after the exam. I think I could’ve done better if I had more time to study, but it was a really hard exam! I hope I do better in my next theory exam!!

Update On My Exams and Marks!
As you know, I am a really musical person! Recently, I’ve done a theory exam and another voice exam! I will also do an update on my last voice exam marks because something happened in between… Anyways, let’s get straight to it!
My theory exam. The reason I need to do it is because in order to do certain levels of Royal Conservatory exams, you have to have the certain level of theory! I did a Level 9 Harmony exam and I recently got the information of my mark. I only 80!! I thought I did really well, but I guess I’m wrong. I was so disappointed!! However, Level Harmony exams are REALLY hard!! As long I tried my best, I am happy :)! Now, I am studying Level 9 History. It is the exact same thing as the history we study at school, but the history I study is about the history of music.
My voice exam. I recently did a voice exam too! I did theLevel 5 exam. It’s the important exam in voice because it’s the transformation from the previous exams into the more difficult ones. I feel like I did pretty well, but I did realize that I messed up on some of the Ear Trainings. Hope that went well!!
About my last voice exam marks. Something went wrong in the exam! When I was doing scales, she took my copy of the scales! She just had to change the starting note and she should know how to play scales starting on E! So, I sang some of the notes wrong because she took my copy and I didn’t know what to sing! After the exam marks came out, my teacher was so surprised that I got marks taken off on scales! She sent an email to the Royal Conservatory about what happened in the exam and the Royal Conservatory gave my mark back! So i actually got 87.5 for my Level 4 voice exam! YAS!! 🙂

My Exams’ Marks
My exam marks finally came!!! I was sort of disappointed when I saw them… I didn’t do too bad but I could also do better. I did two exams this year, one was violin level 7 and the other one was voice level 4. I am planning to do a level 5 voice exam in June this year and my violin level 8 in June next year. Anyways, back to what marks I got for my exams. For my violin, I got 85. It is not a bad mark, but it’s the lowest mark I’ve ever got so far in my violin exams. The violin exam was VERY hard so I think I did ok. For my voice, I also got 85. Again, it is not a bad mark but it’s the lowest mark I’ve ever got in m voice exam so far. I think I got the Gold Medal Award this year for violin and I am not sure if I got it for voice. I don’t know when they will announce it, but if they do, I will tell you guys if I got it or not. I did get a Gold Medal Award last year for my level 6 violin exam. By the way, if you guys don’t know what a Gold Medal Award is, it is a award you get if you have a minimum mark of 85 and you have the highest mark in the people that did the same exam as you and you have the theory level for your exam, then you will get it. Catching Up!!!
Sorry guys! I haven’t got time to update my blog everyday now, because I am preparing for my exams this month! I spent most of my time practicing and practicing. So this is a post about how did Christmas went for me and about my exams and stuff. Let’s go on to my post!
First of all, Christmas went okay for me. It wasn’t terrible, but it was not amazing, too. This, well last Christmas (because it’s 2017!!!) I had to babysit my little siblings which wasn’t a lot of fun. They were crying the whole time and they screamed and…. did REALLY annoying things!!!! Anyways, I couldn’t hang out with my friends because they were mostly on vacation (so lucky!!!), and I stayed home the whole time! Now moving on to what I got for Christmas!
I didn’t get a lot for Christmas. I just got some earrings and a ukulele!!! But I love it though. I don’t have much to say for what I got for Christmas,so let’s move on to my exams and about my practicing!
I have my exam on Tuesday, Jan.17! I don’t have much time to practice so wish me luck! I also have a violin exam on my birthday!!!! This is the first time that my birthday and my exam is on the same day!!! I am kind of looking forward to it! I hope that I will pass my two exams! Wish me luck!

Halloween Dance
Hi guys! Welcome back to read another post of my blog! As you can see, this post is going to be about the Halloween Dance at my school! I am SO excited to dance with my friends! We are going to have a hard time finding each other. Every year, our school have a dance where sometimes only Grade 6 to 8 can go to the dance, or that everybody in our school can go! This Halloween Dance, is that EVERYBODY can go! Other than the dance, there are snacks like candies, cookies, drinks, etc. Some are homemade, and some are bought. Here is the “best” part, some where in the dance, there would be a magic show. Some years, it would be funny and cool. Some years, it would be REALLY “funny” and “cool”… Hope this year it would be funny! I really look forward to this dance! I can’t wait to show my costume to my friends! ( I know I’ve said it a million times! 🙂 ) Anyways, I hope YOU will look forward to YOUR Halloween Dance this year! Hope you stick around to see my other Halloween posts! Halloween Costume
Hi guys! Welcome back to read another post of Amy’s blog! Today I am finally revealing my secret Halloween costume! Mua-HAHAHAHAH!!!!( evil laugh….)
Here is my costume for Halloween costume!( I am not putting a picture of it because I want it to still be a secret for my friends!)
It’s a Candy Girl Costume! I LOVE CANDY!!!!! Everybody in my class know it! So that is why I am being a Candy Girl.
I made this Halloween by myself! I am so proud of it! There are some problems in between…. but I came through the problems and made this Halloween costume! I can’t wait to put it on and show it to my friends! I can’t wait to dance in it during the Halloween Howl! I can’t wait to go trick-or-treating with this sweet costume on! Get it? SWEET costume…

Halloween
Halloween is FINALLY coming! I’ve been waiting for it for a long time! I am so excited to go trick-or-treating with my friends! I am never too old for trick-or-treating.
For trick-or-treating, I am taking my little brother and sister, who are just about one years old. My brother is dressing up like a panda, and my sister is dressing up like a unicorn!!!! I LOVE unicorn! They are so cute! 🙂
For me, I am not telling you guys what my Halloween costume yet, but I will make a post that explains my Halloween costume. So it’s a secret until my Halloween costume post comes out!

About Voice…
Remember that I had a voice recital? This post is about my voice recital! If you wanna know what happened, then read on…
So when I was there, I saw my friends. I am doing a trio with my friends Grace and Amy. The song we are doing is a lullaby. It’s called “Wynken,Blynken,and Nod”. It’s a really soft lullaby.
I sang the soprano, my friend Grace sang the alto, and the other Amy sang the tenor. Since we only have three people, we only have three parts.
Here comes some music theory! For those of you who might not know what soprano, alto, and tenor means, well i will explain it!
Soprano is the most important part in SATB(Soprano,Alto,Tenor,Bass). It always have the melody of the song(well, maybe not always）. Soprano has the highest pitch, so it’s for women that have a high voice.
Alto is the second important part. It has a harmony to the main melody. It sometimes have a solo with tenor. It has the second highest pitch, so it’s a part for women who have a low voice.
Tenor is the third part in SATB. It doesn’t have the melody, maybe sometimes but not always. Just like alto, it has a harmony to the main melody.
The part that alto and tenor sings is very much the same, but tenor have a lower part than alto because it’s for men’s high voice.
Bass has the lowest part in SATB. It’s for men’s low voice. It interacts with soprano the most because it usually go in octaves with soprano and other part will be in the middle of those two parts.
Back to the trio, we were the last one in the voice recital. As they say, save the best for last! We are the best! 🙂 We sang really nicely and I LOVED IT! We are going to keep practicing it so we can do it for Music Festival.

My Knife and Ax Permit
During camping, I was trying to get my knife and ax permit. I asked my leader if I could do it, he said yes.
In order to get my ax permit, I have to get my knife permit first. It’s easy to get the knife permit, but not the ax permit! First, I tried to get my knife permit. The first thing that my leader taught us how to use the knife. When we use it, we point the knife out. When we shed woods, we slide, we don’t push. When you use a knife, you need to check if anyone is in your “bloody zone”. The bloody zone is when you reach your arm out, and spin in a circle to check if anyone is around you.
That was easy! I got my knife permit! However, the ax permit is NOT easy!
So i got my knife permit, then I can get my ax permit. The ax is REALLY heavy just on itself! When there’s a piece of wood on it, it would be even MORE heavy!
First, my leader taught us how to use an ax and how to chop wood. We are suppose to stand with our feet a part and bend our legs when we bring down our ax so that we won’t hit our feet. When you chop, you hold the ax with your arms straight. You keep your arms straight when you bring the ax down.
When I tried, the ax was REALLY heavy! I could barely bring it up! Anyway, I successfully brought my ax up and got the ax in the wood just a little bit. Here’s the problem, the ax was already heavy on itself, when you have to bring the ax AND the wood up, IT WAS SO HEAVY!!!!!!! I didn’t have the muscle to do it, so I didn’t get my ax permit.

Camping Part 2
Hi guys! Welcome back to read another one of my blog post! In the last post I said that I went camping over the weekend. In this post, I’m going to tell you what I did during camping with my scout group.
So I woke up really early on Saturday morning so I can get ready for camping. After I woke up, of course, I ate breakfast. I didn’t ate much because it was so early in the morning! After me and my dad ate, we went to pick up other people that were going to camp with me with my dad’s truck. It’s a one hour drive, it wasn’t that long for ME, but other people int the car kept asking if we are there yet.
Finally, we were there! I saw my friends dropping of their stuff, so I did, too. However, I have to leave at twelve because I have a voice recital. You will find more information about the recital in the next few posts. Anyway, my dad came ans picked me up to the recital.
When I went back to camp, they were having their diner. So i joined them. After dinner, it was CAMPFIRE TIME! I LOVE campfire time! It’s a time where your group needed to come up with a skit, a song, and a cheer.
We light up the campfire using ONLY wood. We can’t add other stuff to it. Every time we put the ashes from the last campfire and put it into the current campfire. We do this every time because it means that we are taking the fun from the last camp and joining it with this camp. This campfire tradition began a long time ago. We still do it these days.
After the campfire time was over, we went back to our campsite. There, we played a game called Werewolf. Of course we couldn’t forget to roast some marshmallows over the fire! It was SO good! At about ten at night I went to sleep in the tent and in my sleeping bag.
You can’t believe how cold it was! It was FREEZING!!! I wore six layers of shirts (long sleeves), four layers of pants, and four pairs of socks. I even wore my mittens when I went to sleep! It was so COLD! I was curled in a ball the whole night!
When it was kind of bright out, it rained a bit. Our shoes were a bit wet because we forgot to zip the flyer sheet.
After all, we ate a good breakfast, we had fun…
